What are the hot baits for these white bass I keep hearing about. Im gonna take a trip Monday to I think it is Willis Creek (in Circleville? centerville? i dont know!)? I also keep hearing about San Gabriel. Where is the best place to fish for these white bass around granger and whats hot? Im new to this white bass stuff as you can tell!

Fished Willis creek ABOVE Granger today and caught a few whites but even more crappie. It was a bit cool to start the morning but warmed up pretty nice. We were in kayaks so it was easy getting around. The whites are thicker in the main San Gabriel river now but so are the crowds. 1/16 oz. jig heads and white grubs were the main bait used. The crappie wanted it mostly verticle near the many downed trees in the creek and whites were caught swimming along the bottom. The creek is cover with brush all over the bottom so be prepaired to loose alot of jigs.
