4 of us on the trip for next April. We need kayak rental, put in, and take out service.
Last time I went we stayed at Who Cares B & B and they took care of our outfitting too. Loved that place but she shut down.
Thank you.

Just talked to Marlene...she said that she is up and running and never shut down. We are staying with her for the third year in a row. She runs a great little outfit. She also said whoever told you that she is shut down is a dirty liar.

I would avoid the above choice!!!! Just me!!! im sure you can find a better option and a more personal guide that is there to put you on fish and provide you what you are looking for. Again Just me!

Where are you wanting to put in and take out? This will determine who you should use.

Which of the above choices? Yep....I'm curious too. Marlene's place is perfect unless you're looking for a four star hotel. She's a great hostess and she's always busy when we've been there.

I am not familiar with Marlene so cant say anything about their outfit. Sound like they have a good set up and good people to be around, the other is not so much. Just had a real bad experience with the Brazos river guide. Again this is just my opinion and mine alone.

Gotcha. Highly recommend Marlene's. We've used Amistad Expeditions several times for shuttle services. They have always been on time. I would recommend them for the pick up and drop off.

Good news! I am booked again with Marlene. We are staying with her the night before we put in and for one more night when we come off the river. We had a great time with her the last time we stayed and I'm so happy to find out that she is not closed and we will be seeing her again in April. We're getting our kayaks through Amistad Outfitters. They work with Marlene as well. The last time we went we got our boats from Gerald Bailey. He's also great but this time we're going we have one gentleman who is 6 feet 7 inches tall and he just needs a bigger boat than what Gerald has. Everyone out there and that part of Texas well they're just good people.
We are doing the 3-night 4-day 30 mile leg from baker's Crossing 2 Dan Hughes SNA. We will be on the casual schedule.

Depending on water levels you may want to consider SNA to SNA. Also, what are your goals? If catching fish is at the top, the shorter trip would be more ideal.

It's a combo bucket list/fishing trip for one of the guys who is using the trip to celebrate his 4th birthday. If water levels are really low then the week prior we probably will adjust our trip like you mentioned. That's good advice, thank you.
