Well its getting close to the time we are going down to LLM. has anyone been down recently? i am hoping someone can tell me whether or not they have started moving back up onto the flats or are the redfish still in the channels and cuts...really want to put my friend on some good reds...i am not asking for any honey hole info just wanted to know what stage the reds are in...any help for a north texas boy would be appreciated...

I live down here and were finding reds both on the flats and in the cuts, went out 2 weeks ago and caught a limt close to green island on New Penny Gulp good luck

Jeep, thanks for the link. looks like you are getting into the trout pretty good right now. How has the redfishing been? do you target the trout more or is it just better trout fishing right now? how far south into the Laguna do you normally go? do you go as far south as "gaswell flats"

limited out two days down there fishing the Saucer and gas well flats. caught fish everyday but did real good Friday and Saturday...caught them on gold spoons, pearl colored bass assasins and even a bone colored Top Dog. all in all its was a really good weekend. My buddy hooked one Sunday that he couldnt even turn and it finally found a weak spot in his line and broke him off.
