Starless's fish is actually bigger. The fish only looks small because his hands are 5 times that of a normal human.

They have to be because he fights those hard pulling carp.

That looks like one I caught at Fairfield. It was the biggest I have ever caught. Great fish, Justin.

XYZ - In the winter, the bluegill, especially the big ones, all head for the bottom in deep water.

Justthrowit, Redraiderfisher - It was caught in Fairfield. Good guess. There are some HUGE bluegill there. Bret actually hooked a dead one lol, by snagging the rig it was stuck on, that made mine look tiny. Probably the biggest bluegill I'd ever seen, shame it got snagged and died.

There are some HUGE bluegill in Fairfield.

More pictures in the Rough Fish Section, in the "Sawtooth Point" Post.

13 of my largest 15 bluegill are from Fairfield... I've only fished it twice. I fish for bluegill all the time in other lakes and rarely come across the monsters like those at Fairfield. My personal best is from Lake Fairfield at exactly 1.0 pound 10.25".

Here's an old writeup I did from my first fishing trip there last year:

Here's a link to a nice bluegil my nephew caught a couple years ago.
