There are lots of kayak fishermen in Fort Worth and the surrounding area. Most of the activity here has moved to Face Book. Checkout the DFW kayak fishing group to get you started. Also check out the Thursday working mans tournament post by the Black Hammer. It's tomorrow evening at Lake Arlington. Come out and join us.

I am in Benbrook

I am in Fort Worth and mostly try to fish Benbrook.

I would love to but I don't have a live well, not sure how that would work

No live well required we do cpr (catch,picture and release) come on out we have a few weeks left is a good way to meet some new people in the area and hook up with some people to fish with . Also on Sun Jacob Taylor is doing the big bass brawl on the trinity another good tournament to try out. You can find both on facebook .

Jcrash is right there are a lot of kayak fishermen in the Fort Worth area. I live in West Fort Worth and fish the Brazos below Possum Kingdom, the Fort Worth Nature Center, Wheeler Branch Park in Glenrose, Benbrook and many other places. I usually will put a post on Facebook in the DFW Kayak Fishing group and on the TFF letting everyone know where I will be fishing. Almost always I will have several other people show up to fish with me. I have met a lot of great kayak fishermen like that.
I am also involved with Heroes on the Water - we take wounded warriors kayak fishing. A new Fort Worth Chapter has just been organized and there first event is Oct. 29 in Flower Mound. That is a good way to get involved helping our Vets and is a great way to meet some other kayak fishermen.
