I consider myself lucky to have grown up listening to Vin call Dodger games.
After 67 years Vin calls his last today.
I might shed a tear today when he says for the last time, "Good afternoon to you wherever you are...its time for Dodger baseball!"
We won't see another one like him.

Much respect for Vin but my loyalties are with the home team. Go Giants! Get the sweep and send LA to the Nationals with a nice three game losing streak.

PS I hate the Giants but respect the Rivalry.
The Giants really rolled out the red carpet for Vins last game.
The Giants suck and are stupid losers but are a classy organization who show respect.. Unlike the Cardinals

Granted, LA has won the west but the Giants have won the WS two of those years. I've enjoyed that much more than I've enjoyed them winning the west in previous years. I would imagine the Dodgers would rather see any other team in the playoffs than the Cardinals. The Cardinals seem to have had the Dodger's number these past few years.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be the Giants versus the Mets for the wild card. The Cards are dirty. Theyve thrown at our hitters to hurt them... That's how they "had our number". I would welcome nothing more than a Dodger vs. Giants National League Championship series. I hope yall win and get in. I really do. Bring it on!!

Man...the great ones are leaving us. These guys did radio way before they ever called a TV game and made the game so real to those who had to visualize the game from their farmhouse after a long day in the field.
True craftsman in his trade who will never be replaced.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

True craftsman in his trade who will never be replaced. He was an original. I was listening to an interview with him recently. He said back in 58 a radio station manager type asked him which of the popular broadcasters at the time he wanted to sound like. Vin, confused, replied, "Well sir I just want to sound like myself".
