I talked to a friend of mine from Diboll today and he said as of late, the fish have been pretty scattered. In the past, during February, the crappie were stacked up in the deep channels and rivers and "they" killed them. He says it is different this year. I know this doesn't help much, just my 2 cents.

Hunter1's info is correct. Last year in Feb we were tearing them up. This year Feb was bad. Water was much colder and looks like it belongs in lake Livingston. I was up last weekend and dinks was all I caught or saw caught. I fished the bridge, points, shallow weedbeds, shoreline brushpiles and main lake brushpiles. Only one keeper I caught. Very frusterating!! But I did find 5 new brushpiles.
I sure hope the lake has healed up by spring break.
