No offense to others who have posted here or on the countless threads I have read about bass fishing Ray Hubbard in the past, but I am beginning to believe the "Fish SLOW" advice is an attempt at trolling. Fishing rocks slow on Hubbard has netted me exactly nothing but countless lost Jigs and Texas Rigs to snags. It was nothing for me to lose $30 in jigs, cranks, sinkers and hooks to Ray Hubbard Rip Rap. Several years ago I gave up on the "slow" tactic and started fishing fast. Burning Rattle Traps, hopping creature baits just a they touch a rock, maybe even sooner, cranking down Crank Baits till they bump bottom them kill it and let em float to minimize snags and guess what, my numbers of bass in the boat increased. Maybe because thats what the fish want or maybe because I spent less time tying on new lures, who knows but it works! Come January and Feb guys will be saying fish deep fish slow, and I'll be fishing shallow and fast and putting limits in the boat like years previous. To each his own and maybe I just suck at fishing slow but if you are like me and find yourself losing more lures than your pocket book can handle, try fishing fast and see if it doesn't produce!!
