Can you set GOPRO camera to not record audio when filming?
Can you remove the camera recorded audio when editing with GOPRO STUDIO?

You can simply turn the volume down when editing to eliminate it.

I understand about the volume and muting but the audio still plays on the final edited project on youtube. Annoying wind noise etc,

Zero experience editing video makes me expert on this. Nope. It does sound like you've got two audio streams running. The original which is locked/synced to the video and the overdubbed audio you lay down on the edited version. They should be independently controlled in my mind.

I use youtube editor to put my fishing clips together. With it I can completely mute the audio out of my videos. Havent tried the go pro edit tool yet.

I dont know if you can go to a setting and turn off audio as you record
As you edit your raw video in GoPro Studio, you select the segments of the video you want in your finished video. After hitting Add Clip to Conversion Box hit Convert All. This moves all clips to the left side of the screen. When you move clips to Timeline (every clip has one) there is a little box in the lower right hand corner that looks like a speaker. Click on that box and the audio is gone from that clip.

How long can you record before battery runs dead? I'm getting about 45 minutes, Is that normal? I plug mine into the cigarette lighter plug and go all day. It is not in the water proof case to this but I am in calm conditions when videoing.

I get about 45-50 min per battery. I carry three. However like David I plug mine into the cig. lighter and can go all day.
