from boat or bank? I am not a great fisherman but we have caught a bunch of fair fish (nothing over 2# unfortunately) with pearl or silver bandit 200 series cranks on main lake points in 5-6' as long as the wind is blowing on them a little deeper when it is sunny. (also caught a bunch real early on buzz baits in the same spots just super shallow. FUN!)
anyway someone that is a way better bass angler than me may have much better insight.

watch out for crazy jet skiers but you can throw a brush hog, jig and crank and usually catch them

Heard the lake is fishing good. Be careful this Saturday there's a High school tournament going on and the number of boats registered is around 249.
