I just replaced my two trolling motor batteries,..I have a Terrova 24V, they lasted 3 years,

When I bought the boat two months ago it was short one battery. I then added a new one. Added another new one yesterday so they are both new now. Problem should be solved for now.

David, you are right..Motorguide does recommend the metal Machete for 36V only, but I ran one on a 24V Tour edition for 14 years and never a problem.

I replaced my less than a year old Neverstart Maxx from chinamart w 2 optima blue tops last month. Been real happy with the change so far!

I replaced my less than a year old Neverstart Maxx from chinamart w 2 optima blue tops last month. Been real happy with the change so far! A few months ago I upgraded my trolling motor to a 24V Ulterra 80lb. The Cabelas' brand AGM batteries I had couldn't handle it. It would die close to 3 hours of fishing with intermittent trolling motor use. I quickly replaced the batteries with 2 Optima blue top size 31m and love it. Fish for 4 hours in windy condition and it would only use up 1 bar on the battery meter. If anyone interested in Optima blue top batteries, this is where I ordered mine.
