Fortenberry took jurors through the night Morris disappeared as she and Arochi met up with mutual friends from Allen High School to party. At 3:55 a.m. Aug. 30, 2014, Morris is seen in a surveillance video with Arochi walking into a Plano parking garage.

He also pointed out several calls and texts that night to Morris' ex-boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend is related to someone with ties to the Aryan Brotherhood, Gore told jurors. In October, Plano police investigated a tip that Morris may have been a witness to a crime involving the Aryan Brotherhood.

They need more circumstantial evidence to get a conviction, imo. On the surface, I say he's guilty but juries take "beyond a reasonable doubt" seriously, these days.

Yeah the circumstantial evidence - and lack of a body - makes me think the Defense will be able to paint a compelling alternate timeline of events that raises significant doubts as to the Prosecution's narrative.

I hadn't heard anything about the ex-boyfriend or Aryan Brotherhood all this time. When I did, as part of the update on the case, I kind of felt like "even if he is guilty this is a strong defense tactic" because throwing in "convicted ex-boyfriend drug dealer angry texts Aryan Brotherhood" is hard to ignore. Maybe not so surprising Christina's Mom never mentioned any of that stuff and has really been zoned in on Aroche.

Too many odd things add up.

The coverage has made me think he is guilty, but not once have I ever heard anything about an ex skinhead boyfriend. Obviously the mother is focused Arochi because he was the last one with her daughter it would appear.
