Two weeks ago when I was launching there were dead fish floating all around the ramp. It smelled terrible. I was going to ask James about it last week but I forgot.

So most of the fish in Falcon are now dead? Well there goes my plans for a winter trip I think it's only in the Veleno, not the whole lake. Ok cool, I have never been to Falcon, is this going to have a big impact on fishing overall?

This is just inside the dam they built to allow them access to build the bridge. Will not affect the rest of the lake. Your fine Doug and will most likely have a good trip.

Ok cool, I have never been to Falcon, is this going to have a big impact on fishing overall? Nahh, not really. The Veleno has been closed off for a long time now and it's a small creek/tributary. The rest of the lake is wide open and fishing great. You'll have no problems with your trip.

If I keep an undersized fish I get a ticket, a contractor kills thousands....no big deal? Sounds about right

I can assure you the fishing isn't suffering. The lake is full of good fish. Don't let this turn you away from a trip down here.

Yea, not a good deal James form Falcon lake tackle had made them aware of this issue, but no one listen! Please keep in mind that the fish kill was only in the back part of the Veleno, not the the whole lake. We ARE good to go on the rest of the lake.

I think some of you guys are missing the point. It doesn't matter that the fish kill was in the Veleno only. What matters is the fish kill could have been prevented. None of the responsible parties took the necessary precautions and thousands of dead fish is the result. It doesn't matter that the rest of the lake is in good shape. What if it weren't? TPWD has penalties for wanton waste of a resource, in this case largemouth bass. I think the TPWD guy in charge of the region should have to go down there with his team and pick up all the dead bass. After they have the count, issue citations for restitution to the responsible parties.

They should have to pay for a stocking of adult size bass or atleast juvenile bass to the estimated amount of what was lost.
