Where was this the last two days, would've saved me two packs of rage tails? Appreciate the idea!

I have been using o rings for years to hold the bait better and to save plastics with Sweet Beavers, Paca Craws, Biffle Bugs, Rage Bugs, T-rigged senkos and 7"-10" worms. I thought it was common knowledge or I would have shared it earlier. I think I picked it up from a old fishing buddy in KY before they were sold for fishing and we bought the o-rings from auto parts stores. "Back in the Day" we used old ball point pen tubes to put them on baits. Sure wish I had thought of inventing the o-ring tool!

One tip I will add is to use a red o ring instead of the usual black. I now use the red ones exclusively and it works for me. It may be a confidence thing rather than an attractor but I know I get more bites with the red. At least I know it doesn't prevent any bites.

So when buying in bulk thru non tackle supply channels, what is the correct size o-ring for a standard 5 inch senko?

put two o rings ----angle the tool so the second one goes on crossing the first one --make an X --- hook through the intersection of the X --- senkos are super soft and this makes them last lots longer !

I would say size 5 or 6. Working maintenance we use a lot of O-rings and a 6 barely fits on the end of my pinkie finger. a 5 would be a little smaller and a 4 maybe for finesse worms? I'd start with a 6 and go from there.

Ok so I guess its how the military orders them as a size 4,5,6 etc. Here is a website with an o-ring chart. I would think a ( -13 ) which has an inside diameter of 7/16" would be the lowest we could go but all depends on the bait.

they had red rings on this website but none of them were showing in stock. good idea though to try the red ones IMO!

Since I am not in any hurry to get them I ordered 100 Orange O-Rings from eBay for $2.99 shipped via a slow boat from China.
