Anyone know of a nice house/cabin on or close to Ray Roberts for weekend rentals?

I've stayed at the Sanger Inn off I 35 near Valley View. Not a bad place decent parking and electrical for the boats. http://www.sangerinn.com/

There is a cabin at the corner of FM455 and Merrill Rd, a couple of miles east of the State Park. I understand it is available for fishermen. Iconelli and Ish stayed there during the Bass Fest on Texoma, so it can't be too bad. There has been mention of it on the Forum before.

Don't leave your clothes on the floor at Sanger Inn unless you don't mind bed bugs. Stayed there last year and a buddy got tore up by bed bugs there. The people that own it are a pain to deal with when something isn't working or you ask for a new room.

Thanks Adam for the referral. Yes, Fisherman are welcome at Slye Ranch, just 2 miles east of Ray Roberts Isle du Bois State Park on FM455. Check out our website at http://www.rayrobertslodging.com. Mike and Ish stayed at the Cabin this last May when they fished the TTBC tournament. When I asked them what I could do to make the Cabin better for fishermen, they replied "This is the best place we've ever stayed." Mike then suggested I have a bag of ice for them every morning so they didn't have to go get ice prior to the tournament. I now supply Ice. Here's a copy of the review left by Ish and Hillary: Cozy, Comfortable and Clean! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We travel all over the country and stay in a lot of houses and cabins and this by far is one of the nicest cabins we have stayed in! The beds had luxurious sheets along with very comfortable beds and pillows. When we arrived, they put out a tray of food, wines, soda, and snacks! No other place that we have been to has gone above and beyond like Lynn did! I would recommend this place to everyone because Lynn will make you feel right at home. This place is not only great for fisherman but for families as well! The property had security cameras, I believe 4 or 5, watching our truck and boat at all times. This made us feel very safe and that our belongings were safe as well. It was also very relaxing with a nice fire pit and chairs to sit around while watching the horse and miniature donkeys. If you are in this area and looking for a cabin to stay in, do not pass this cabin up!! Date of arrival May 16, 2016 Feel free to contact us at anytime for rates and availability. We offer discounts to fishermen and we don't have Bed Bugs!! Larry and Lynn Slye RayRobertsLodging.com 940/206-2974
