i sat there and stared at my vise thinking of what I could come up with  fish sure do love an easy meal how about an injured/bleeding baitfish! This is a chenille that I haven't done much with. Baby crappie  Here you can kind of see how I weaved in the red to keep it subtle.  Bleeding shad. This one was tricky, a weave in a weave  And just to save from starting another thread, I made these to take my daughter perch jerkin in a pond tomorrow after work. I can't wait! I wish I had some smaller hooks (no idea where me little bream hooks went  ) but the lady says there's some bigguns in there so we'll see.

Well when I want something on a jig to show bleeding I just add one single strip of Red Holo Flashabou right down the bottom of the jig, which is actually the top as you tie it! Works like a charm!

Well when I want something on a jig to show bleeding I just add one single strip of Red Holo Flashabou right down the bottom of the jig, which is actually the top as you tie it! Works like a charm!
Skip Yes that would work just fine, but not near as fun when your just playing around.
