Only one post that mentioned the innocent victims of drunk driving. Many posts focused on consequences of getting caught. I guess that is a reflection of the selfish society in which we live. As a 20-year firefighter, I have witnessed countless accidents, many with fatalities, caused by impaired driving. As a result, I have zero tolerance for those that drink and drive...or text, email, etc. while driving.

The question should be how many drinks do you consume in an hour and still feel comfortable driving? I limit myself to about 2 beers or one mixed drink per hour if I plan on driving anywhere. If I'm not driving anywhere, the governor is off, but my days of drinking myself into a stupor are long behind me.

The towns were dry. Yet half the pop drove to the county line to get liquor. Made no sense. Then they made it to where you could buy a beer with a meal. Guess the power of the dollar overcame the power of whatever religion that was all about.
