Everybody has their own opinions about this but I'm curious to hear the consensus. I've always had a stupidly high tolerance before becoming intoxicated, but my personal rule for myself is if I have one drink, I'm not driving. But I have known other folks that say 5 or 6 beers within an hour and they see no reason why they can't drive.

How many drinks before you give up your keys?

It was perfectly legal to drink and drive when I got my driver licenses. Legal drinking age was 19 and it was legal to have a cold beer and drive

Yeah me too. Does this mean we are grandfathered against such laws?

It is still legal to drink and drive as long as BAC is .08 or less. It is not legal to drink while driving.

I turned 19 the day the age limit was moved from 19 to 21. But I guess that's better than being 20 when it changed to 21.

The billboards are misleading: They say Drink and go to jail.

I would think they would say Don't Drink and not go to jail, it kinda encourages one to drink

I remember is high school all the seniors driving to Shreveport and Bossier to drink during the weekday. Legal age was 18. They would all drive home hammered and tell about the stories the next day.

It changed back to 21 before I became a senior.
