I have only been to Lake Fork a few times. I want to make a trip in a few weeks and was wondering what areas are the best for timber fishing? I don't do a lot of it and would like to give it a shot all day.. Thanks

I don't know of an area in that lake that there's not timber, so you can pretty much launch where you want and you'll find it.

You are familiar with the boat lanes out there? Please don't trust the buoys because the last time I was there a few of them were quite a bit off the mark. There are a few thousand hull wreckers out there so be careful. If you don't mind towing the occasional boat in, just follow them crazy bass boats from a 100 yards back and let them find them for you.

I purchased the boatlanes chip for my Lowrance. I have been near the 515 bridge all the way north to Birch and 2946 bridge from there. Haven't been on the east arm past the free ramp near the minnow bucket. You are familiar with the boat lanes out there? Follow the boat lanes and when you see some promising timber, just peel off the lane and be careful motoring in. There is some good timber just past that bridge and look in the second major cove to your right after you pass the bridge . Good luck.
