Well after being sick Friday/Saturday and being a couch veggie and trying to get to feeling better Sunday rolls along and mom's working at the church and I've got the girls, they're bored so I asked if they wanted to go to Bass Pro Shop, well that was obviously a YES. So I had a $25.00 gift card left from x-mas and decided I needed a pair of sunglasses. We shopped for about 2+ hours and $35.00 dollars later (with no sunglasses) they both ended up with a tackle box each, hooks, weight, a few jigs. Well we get home and they decided it was a beautiful day to go fishing, so we did. They caught 20 or so and then realized one gentleman was keeping the bigger ones, next thing I knew we were too! I'm not sure who had a better time me getting to watch or them wearing them out smile We brought home 11, cleaned them and now there ready for a fish fry.

I think kids will have a good time no matter what they are doing. Whether it is fishing, hunting, hiking, or camping. If you involve them in it and are active in their lives , that is all that matters. Having them be part of something and learning along the way is the best thing for them. Keeps them from using drugs and alcohol at an early age and allows their self confidence to grow. It also allows you to sneak away and fish more !!!

James N that is Harbor Bay fishing pier at Lake Ray Hubbard. I am truely blessed that they love to fish and they like to help clean fish as well, only way it could have been better is if the wife was with us.
