I am sure no matter what your job, you have to do a million hours of training in things that are just crazy. My profession happens to be teaching, and for us it is called Safe Schools. I am sure that a lot of you have a comparable deal.

so this whole online thing cost me about 6 hours of my life. But I guess now I am equipped to handle ANYTHING

What ridiculous training do you have to complete at your job?

I have done that training, plus I have some for HIPAA. The child abuse training was when I worked at the Y, and when I was getting my license. The other stuff I still have training for through the university...twice a year, plus once a year we also have computer security training. Then, once a year, we have training involving procedures for safety and security for our particular building on campus. The online stuff is usually 6 - 8 hours, and then in person is 4 hours. They have added a new thing this semester for our building staff...it's just been done one time thus far and only lasted an hour...don't know if it'll stick, or if it was a one time gig. I also have to have Healthcare Provider BLS once every two years, first aid cert, and 12 hours of CEU's related to my license every two years.

Yea Lone Star, it gets a little more each year.

I think when we added it up last year with teaching and coaching I did about 200 hours

I think after 22 years I should have about 15 masters 5 PhD's and maybe a new degree that has not been invented

I don't get no training anymore. They let me fend for myself.
