Ok, I'm really just venting and ranting.... but seriously... I have been trying this drop shot thing now for a while, and not a single strike....

I'm using 10 lb braid with a 6 lb flouro leader, a #2 drop shot hook, and the KVD finesse worm in DIRT color... admittedly, I haven't tried many colors of worms, but heck!!!

I've tried this deep, I've tried this shallow, I've tried this around bass going crazy feeding, I've tried this in 3 lakes, I've worked the [censored] out of it... and not a single strike, and I cannot figure out why.

it's a technique like many other ways of fishing,...I was taught by a guide, and I'm ok, takes confidence and patience.
Also right time, place, bait,..etc...I'm much better with a wacky or carolina rig for sure.

Because it's stupid and fairy wands are for beating off snakes and crappie fishing.

It takes a while to get used to fishing it and working it the right way. The way you work the bait has about 90% to do with it and determining on you getting bit.

Someone that knows how to drop shot once told me the key is using just enough rod motion to make your bait twitch and dance, yet not enough rod motion to move the weight. When I tried that my catches went wayyyyyyyyyy up.

And FYI I definitely prefer a rod with more backbone than a drop shot fairy wand to beat snakes away with.
