Thanks Roofish for the reply and as always it is GREAT seeing a "ROOFISH" POST! clap clap The river it's self is public but you have to go through private property to get there. If you have a kayak or small boat there are several public crossings you can put in at which will give you some GREAT fishing spots! Also most of the land owners are super nice and will usually let you go through their property to get to the river. Seek permission FIRST! eeks



Side Note: Lots of walking and the roads are really rough to travel! nuts Also there are some "HUGE" Rattle Snakes in that part of Texas! bolt

Great pictures Chuck. Looks like you had a super trip. Me and Jeff kayaked the Sabinal and Frio Rivers this summer and did pretty good. Caught several nice bass and a few sunnies as well. Where are the put in points on the Nueces? Are there any? Again super post. woot

Thanks Curtis for the reply. cheers The Nueces has several public put in points. The 155 bridge is one. There is another on Ranch Road and Chalk Bluff has a ten dollar put in fee. thumb

Thanks Chuck for the information! I found a map with the put in's and takeout spots for the Nueces Canyon! Will be fishing there next spring! woot

Thanks Gitter for the reply! cheers There are three rivers in the Nueces Canyon. The Frio, Nueces,and West Nueces. partyon The Sabinal River(not in the canyon), is just to the east and about an hour away. thumb
