This is a benefit tournament that is open to any fisherman. It benefits the east Texas fishing teams associated with the Weekenders High School division. The pay out are based on 40 boats but we are expecting much more if not double. Take a look at the flyer below and message me if you have questions.

Just for clarification on a couple of things..
1). Yes we do allow three people to a team. The reason why is because a bunch of our high school teams and their captains will be fishing in the tournament. To be fair we are offering the option of having three to a team.
2). MLF- Major League Fishing rules. Murval has a slot limit. One over and the rest under. The second half of the tournament will be different. Each team that qualifies will have a boat Marshall. That person will measure each fish. Each fish over 12 inches will be weighed with an official MLF scale and texted to the weigh in area. There will be a live recording of the stats there for everyone to see.

Thank you everyone that came out to support these high school kids! It was a great turn out! There was a total of 56 teams despite the weather. Only ten teams advanced to the Major League Format round. The MLF was extremely enjoyable to watch. Derrick Bartley won $1125 on big bass weighing 6.43 pounds.
The Top 10 wining teams of the qualifying round and advancing into the final MLF round were:
Koch - Koch - Good
Elliott - Holloway
Bartley - Turner
Russell - Russell
Akin - Barton
Elliott - Cheatwood
Robertson - Jones
Locke - Addison - Holt
Hartley - Lamborne
Love - Flanagan - Doerge
After (4) 1 hour periods the top 5 winners were:
1st Akin / Barton w/ 20.88 lbs - $1900
2nd - Robertson / Jones w/ 17.90 lbs - $1140
3rd - Elliott / Holloway w/ 16.20 lbs - $750
4th - Elliott / Cheatwood w/ 16.10 lbs - $250
5th - Bartley / Turner w/ 9.15 lbs - $150
Congratulations to all the winners.
Thanks to everyone who supported this open tournament.
