Yes....not sure how much, but last year it was $1 person; $1 a rod - or something like that. Haven't been lately, but winter is mainly pomps, black drum, some reds, whitting, etc.

We went down the weekend of the 17th and hit the pier all night that Sunday. It was not cold, very windy, and the fish were unresponsive to pretty much everything. We rigged for everything that swam too. Live bait, dead bait, artificial, everything we had between five well-equiped guys and not 1 fish that night. I have gone out there and hammered them so many times. It was a disappointment for sure. BUT... I will go back later this year looking to settle the score.
Side note--We did all limit out on specs back in the bays the next day.

Any opinions for tonight on BHP After midnight i will be heading out there. With all the variables, any predictions would help. I will be going for shark, specs, and Smacks. And anythign that will eat cut bait.

This pier is just south of where we are staying for Spring Break and we plan to be there a lot. When the fish are on out there, what tends to be biting the best this time of year, and also, what baits have the most success? Thanks

We caught mose the fish jigging mannolures. The fish were biting on anything that moved though. Whatever you have inthe box for trout, throw it. Before you throw it thougt tie on a steel leader though. I will be there tuesday morning.

Its good to know the bite is picking up! We are heading to Port A the weekend of April 12 and was hoping the fishing would be getting better.
