Update may have corrupted something. I would recommend that you backup the ipad, factory reset it, and then load the backup onto the iPad.

You may be able to help it by clearing website history and cookies in Safari, and a simple reboot.

You may be able to help it by clearing website history and cookies in Safari, and a simple reboot. ^This often solves all my iPad problems. I have the iPad mini (1st version that came up, won it at a company Christmas party). Still works fine.

I didn't even think about it, but the same has been happening to my ipad as well. It wasn't until you mentioned it that I put that together.
