Hey guys. I'm heading off to college soon and I don't have the budget for top of the line gear. I've got a abu garcia Veritas and a tp1 speed stick. I like both of them alright but I'm wondering if going with a st croix, albeit a bottom line one, will I gain any advantage or are all the rods around the 100 dollar mark about the same in terms of quality and performance? Thanks yall

The rods you have are good. When you can afford better or find a great deal, get a new rod. Until then, enjoy what you have.
I have many very expensive rods but I usually end up using a high end cabelas rod.
I will say that my st croix mojo inshore is a beast of a rod. It has landed kings, snapper and cobia paired with a shimano stradic fk

You wouldn't be upgrading in my opinion, other than they are new and what you have are used. I don't like the Mojo rod. Have broken everyone I have owned. I also find them heavier than other $100 rods out there.
