3rd Annual Casting for Kids Fishing Tournament on Lake of the Pines will be held 8/27/16. This is a charity event and all proceeds go to Blessings of Grace Marion County Food Pantry. On site registration will begin at 5:00 AM the morning of the tournament.

All contestants will be eligible for a meal at weigh-in along with door prizes. This is a great tournament for a great benefit.

Casting for Kids is a charity bass fishing tourney to raise money for the backpack program @ Blessings Of Grace Marion County Food Pantry. Each Wednesday during the school year Backpacks are filled with nutritious food for students in need that attend Jefferson ISD. This past school year Blessings volunteers packed approximately 81 backpacks every Wednesday. The backpacks were either delivered by Blessings volunteers to the designated contact at Jefferson ISD or picked up by the school contact and given to the students on Friday. The food is a supplement for some over the weekend but a primary source of food for others. Blessings has been packing weekly backpacks during the school year for students in need since 2009. Each year the number of students needing the backpacks has grown and so has the cost to fill them! Casting for kids is a fundraiser to help fund the backpack cost. All donations are greatly appreciated and all sponsors will be listed on Facebook and on the event banner. Receipts for tax purposes are also provided.
