I saw this hat on a kid at Sea World a couple of years ago. I talked with his mother to find out what kind of hat it was and who made it. It is perfect for me - though stylish it is not. Extremely lightweight, no more neck burn and brim is not to large but still gives enough cover. It also has a draw string to keep it from blowing off and a ribbon draw around the head to tighten it when traveling. I haven't had trouble with it blowing off the head but the brim will bend down some when underway at speed limiting view of view a little. This bothered me til I recently began to place my baseball had on first, then this hat over it. Now the brim stays firm and I have full view. Sunday Afternoons - they have other hats too. That's the one I wear. Best I have found. Not hot and shades face and neck.
Retirement best job ever.

Nice hat David. Sure keeps the sun off. Not sure where to get one of those. Also, I bet it wont stay on while I'm going 25 mph. Wife bought it for me in Hawaii back in 07. It is very durable in the wind as it has a leather tether that synchs down tight, but I don't wear it while running down the lake. I got this one in Jamacia and it doesn't stay on very good in the wind.

I like and wear this hat also, I will be trying the baseball cap idea the next time out.

+1 on the Duluth Trading Crusher Hat. It breathes in the heat and works like a charm! Noticed this is a old post though so who knows if it's still relevant

I went the Tilley route. Now I need to get myself to wear it more. Friend just had a third of his ear lopped off due to cancer. He wore ball type caps over 50 years of fishing and it took it's toll.

I've worn the Cabella's spf 30 and 40 hats for awhile. Nice to be able to roll them up and put away. Then I went back to ball caps and put on the sunscreen. Now, I'm under a straw hat from McCoy's and wear it on the beach and the boat. Surprisingly, it stays on pretty well at the beach without a strap.
