What's the better rod to get for a 10'6" st Croix legend? 3/4-4 oz action rod or a 1-6 oz action rod. the first only supports 20 lb test line and the 2nd supports up to 25 lbs.

I can hit the wall with 1.5 oz....... downside is I can't throw anything heavier than 2-2.5oz, its got a pretty light tip. I agree if you're primarily fishing the wall, you probably need 10-11' might ck out the new Black Hole 10'6" light & heavy models. they're in the right weight class that you're looking for, & still pretty light

www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/power/hydropower.html#Day 2 Hopefully this site is accurate. We drove from Wichita falls last night. Haven't been to the dam since I was a kid. It says opening 2 turbines at noon Saturday And noon Sunday. I think I read the regulations as 10 hybrids and stripers, no min length, only 2 over 20 inches... Can anyone confirm that for me?

There's a detour we didn't know about. You take 84 to Eisenhower park then take a right to get back to the dam.

You are right if you are fishing in the lake texoma. But below the dam its five limits
Below Lake Texoma(TPWD website) For striped bass and hybrid striped bass, there is no minimum length limit; daily bag = 5 fish and culling of striped bass is prohibited. For white bass, minimum length = 10 inches and daily bag is 25. There are no bag or size limits for yellow bass.

We caught a 16" channel cat, Big drum, Big carp, a big gar, and a lot of SMALL stripers. Catching shad on any lure with a treble hook bc they are so thick. Also sunburnt A lot of people showed up at sunset after the water went down but only saw 2 decent stripers caught. Was hoping for some keepers, about to exchange the fishing stuff for hunting stuff in the truck!
