Hey guys. I know neck gaiters are the new craze. I have pretty fair skin so any advantage I can get to keep from being burnt is awesome. I got an Academy brand one for I think 8 or 9 buck . My question is are the "name brand" ones any better? I've seen buff columbia yeti costa and a few million other ones.
I like my texas flag academy pattern but it just feels so hard to breathe out of when over my nose tucked under my costas.
Any experience with any brands is appreciated. Thanks yall.

Suppossedly the difference may be in UV protection, but then again anyone can mark their product as having a high UV rating and it may have none at all. Maybe stick with a "name brand" if you have concerns.
Just one more cast!

Check out the Gillzmask. It has a mouth vent that seems to help.

I have the same Texas flag gaiter but I found a Huk at Cabela's on clearance and it is easier to breath in.

SA are great. Very lightweight. Very thin. Breathable.

I have some from SA fishing and Huk, and they both serve their purpose, but I ordered some Gillz and they are the best ones I own, very comfortable and breathable.

SA works for me, but I wet them and stretch them on a board until dry. I find I can breathe better and they don't "squeeze" my face so much when I stretch them out.

The Academy flag gaiter is a heavy winter style.
The SA gaiters are very light and thin. They will stretch out over time but for the price and being able to use a different one daily or throughout the day makes them a good buy.
