Ended up going to a place called PoPo in Welfare, TX about 10 minutes outside of Boerne. If you like Southern home cooked food this is the place for you. I ordered the fried chicken and my wife ordered fried catfish. Both were cooked to perfection. Service was great. http://www.poporestaurant.com/
