Can anyone tell me some good places I can take my 9 year old stepdaughter this weekend to catch some fish.We live in Rowlett,I am new to the area and I have heard talk of some pretty good ponds in the areas of Rowlett and Rockwall.I will even go back out to Hubbard if someone could just give me a little info on some good bank spots and ponds,so that I can find them and she can fish.I dont care if its perch jerking or catfish, she just really wants to catch some fish.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,Ricky.

Ricky,

I used to live in Rowlett a few years ago. I would take my girlrfiend's son out to the Rowlett park area to catch a few bream now and then. In fact, I may be wrong, but about this time of year they used to stock the ponds there with trout. We would slay them on corn or in-line spinners. Fireballs worked good too. It's been a while, but we sure had a great time. It's out by the Waterview golf course. Other than that, I really don't know anymore. There's the fishing pier at Harbor Bay Marina. Hope it all works out but the weather is supposed to be bad. Harbor Bay has an enclosed fishing area -somewhat.

Good Luck!

Like sancho said, try the community park in the waterview area. Theres a small pond and a larger one there. They stock the larger one with trout, but they both have the usual catfish, bass, perch etc. I'd try the larger pond, as it seems to have more fish and theres a couple of docks on it for easy acess.Good luck.
