I wanted to pass on what I've been doing to target good bass at Lake Fork very recently. I'm using my HDS-12 to find these fish either on points or humps with timber. Recently, they have been suspended near timber or glued right next to the base of big trees. For the suspended bass, we've thrown the new M-Pack Shad in a Disco color on a 6/0 Owner Wide Gap Plus hook, weightless on 20-25 fluoro. Count the bait down to the target range, then begin making 2 twitches of the rod, low to the water and to the side every 6-8 seconds. This keeps the bait in the depth of bass marked on graph. It's important to twitch the bait on slack line for best results. The M-Pack Shad will turn 360 degrees when you do this and stare right back at any bass following it. They can't stand that and will eat it. For the bass I referred to on the bottom, you can let the same bait sink all the way to the bottom and then slowly twitch it along. Also for these bottom hugging bass, a big 10" or greater worm on a 3/8, 1/2 oz TX Rig worked slowly will work sometimes or a stout 3/8 shakey head with a large straight tail worm will draw strikes. Here's a few of the better fish & graph screenshots of the biggun's we were hunting. You can see the large bass as the big white blobs on the Down Scan or the big green arches on the 2D CHIRP sonar. Hope this helps y'all whack a good one! Good luck out there and be safe. Whitt Smith, licensed and insured Lake Fork Guide. www.lakeforkbigbass.com. Twitter @LakeForkBigBass

Excellent report. Really like the details and the shots of your graph. My report is a little different: got one bite on the spoon, biggest fish of my life, came off at the boat. One on a Carolina rigged fluke in 20 fow off a main lake point with trees. Nothing on the crankbait. Nothing on the 10 inch worm. One bite on the big jig, missed it. Spent hours fishing a shakey head on a road bed for one 12 inch bass. Also broke a rod, hit a tree at 30mph, and got so dehydrated I developed gout in my ankle. And yet...I will be back.
