I'm new to this so forgive any stupid questions I might ask. I want to go out and try striper fishing Saturday morning. My thoughts are:
Get out before it gets really hot. On the lake at sunrise.
Troll, 20 ft or less, while looking for surface feeding.
As it gets hot start looking deeper with the intent of jigging.

Does this sound lik a reasonable approach?

All advice appreciated.

Lewisville? You must be referring to hybrids.....

Off the lake before the crowd arrives! Plan sounds good, I would look around the old dam cut out to twin poles area....

1987 Nitro MX185/Mercury Black Max 150 (needs lots of work, put motor on nephew's boat)
1994 XSC-2200 "Jaguar" AKA Shadow 22 Magnum (restoring w/Mercury 200 XRI)
1994 Pantera II (restoring w/Mercury 200 EFI)
1999 Triton TX21/225 Mercury Optimax

See? That's how new I am. I did mean hybrids. Thanks for the response. I'm looking forward to being out there.
