I have been out the loop for a minute. I tore my knee up really bad at the boat ramp at Granger early this month. I was wearing my favorite Crocs with wore out soles, while launching my boat i slipped on the green slime that was on sidewalk. My right leg bent to right at the knee and as I fought the immense pain I could hear things tearing and popping inside like ripping off a chicken drumstick from a thigh. I had surgery on the 12th and i get my staples out tomorrow. I was blessed to have had my son there to pick me up put the boat back on trailer and get me the hospital. So fellas y'all be safe out there!

Hate hearing news like this. Hope you make a full recovery. Sometimes it is the little things we do not do that end up causing trouble! Side Note: Thanks for the reminder!

OUCH! Sorry to hear that.. hope the rehab goes well and fast for you. I quit wearing my Crocs fishing a long time ago. That was till I got a good pair that has the actual Hard rubber soul. However, when you step on that moss on the ramp, every thing slips.

Sorry your going through this...I love my crocks, but have had a few close calls here lately myself...you have convinced me to ban them from the boat...a friend of mine was wearing crocs at home and slipped and broke his back last year...hope your recovery goes well!

I wonder if there is something we could put on the ramps to get rid of that stuff? Most of the lakes I fish it isn't an issue but it's a safety issue for sure.

Ouch, I hurt just reading about your accident. Hope you're up and going soon. I've never worn any crocs...are they that slick or was it the slime or a combination of both?

A sprayer full of bleach water would be in my arsenal, and a bag of kitty litter. Treat it like ice. Kitty litter down first so it's not slick, then spray with strong bleach water to kill the slime.
And good luck with recovery, I feel your pain in my left knee.

Man, I hope your knee is better soon. That is a terrible thing to hear when you hear all those thing snap, crackle and popping inside there.
It happened because of the crocs. You should have retired those before you bought them. My buddy says "them's your undateable shoes". Lol. I know, I know they're comfortable...

Thanks for the well wishes guys, and yes cross are my favorite, but from here out I'll put the on after I'm in the boat and take them off before I get out. I'm going to waco in the AM with my buddy to see what the fish doing. Will give report. I seriously need a fix for.my addiction.
