Has anyone been catching any carp on the fly recently? I know most of the lakes around here are pretty high, so I'm under the impression that they aren't really fishable for carp right now.

Where are you guys going? I'd love to hook into some carp.

I had good luck on Lewisville in the spring. They were easy to locate and sight fish for. Haven't seen them in a long time.

I'm thinking about Ray Roberts Saturday morning. Heard a good carp lake.

Where on Lewisville did you go? Ray Roberts is supposed to be great, but only when the water is a couple feet low from what I've heard.

I heard the same of the North end of Lewisville, again only if the lake is down.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
