What is your most unique method(s) of catching fish in water willow? I've been on a consistent pitching bite the past month and I'm wanting to try something different this weekend.
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.

So you are consistently catching fish and want a new method? That's interesting. I'd first like to know what and where this is happening.

I like throwing a Stanley big nasty as a swim jig. The hook angle gives you great hook ups, and the hook is beefy enough to throw on 65# braid. Whatch Jason Christie on Dardanelle it's on YouTube.

So you are consistently catching fish and want a new method? That's interesting. I'd first like to know what and where this is happening. I'm always wanting to learn and try new things. I've had the same rod, weight and lure in my hand for the past month, I've limited every day I've gone out doing it. I almost feel complacent planning on going out and doing the same thing again this weekend (unless the fish tell me different). If I can try a new technique on good water, it helps me build confidence in that technique and I learn something. Not wanting to learn something new and making yourself better every day on the water is interesting to me.

Hopping/swimming a chatterbait through and around them has hooked a few nice ones for me.

Revenge Swim Jig One of my favorite techniques for this situation is throwing a swim jig in there. Swim it, hop it, jerk it, you can't fish it wrong. If you get tired of casting and reeling it, just pitch it like a jig. I've had good success flipping/pitching a swim jig with a paddle tail swimbait trailer. This swim jig is super high quality and it has a really good hook on it. Made in the USA too, can't go wrong with it.
