The problem with fishing reports is that they are like what you here so regularly when you are on the water:
"Man, you should have been here yesterday. We tore them up for hours until they wore us out."
Rod & Reel PB: Blue Cat 53 lbs/12 lb test, Flathead Cat 78 lbs/20 lb test, Channel Cat 17 lbs 12 lb test, Texas common carp 40 lbs/12 lb test, White crappie 2.8 lbs, Black crappie 2.3 lbs all Lake Conroe

I think they come from a spoon manufacturer because everyone I read says fish are biting on spoons....... The only spoons I have any luck with is in the kitchen drawer.

I'm almost certain they come from a magic 8 ball. They just shake it and report what it says.

They've released this weeks fishing report!
Only thing I see changed is the published date. Fishing is slow for blue cats, strippers, bass and crappie.

Fishing reports are gathered by an outside contractor who has built a network of contacts to obtain information on fishing conditions in numerous lakes and bays. Most of the details come from fishing guides and marina operators. TPWD get weekly reports on approximately 70 lakes and and 18 coastal areas, however, not every report gets updated every week.Reports are updated on the web on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.Information on individual sites may reflect conditions two or three days earlier. If you know of a marina, a guide, or a frequent angler who might be able to provide information about your favorite lake or coastal area on a more-or-less weekly basis, please send contact information to the below person and she will forward that to the reports coordinator.
Dyanne Fry Cortez Web Coordinator, Inland Fisheries Division Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept.(512)389-8055
Hope this helps,, Ed
