When graphing fish do you guys typically mark them with your GPS or use a marker buoy? What method do you find easier to stay on them?

Marker Buoy and gps, personally like using the buoy for a reference and mark the spot on my gps if I need to come back later I can get on the spot where the fish were located earlier. They might have moved some, but will still get you close.

Marker Bouy! That way all the other boats can also "Help" you fish them! A floating marker bouy is a Magnet for other boats like Birds over schooling fish!

GPS initially. I like marker buoys if there are no trees around; trying to get buoy line and weight out of deep timber is no fun.

Paint your marker black or dark green, that bright orange is a dead ringer for what you are doing.

I mark the school on the gps, fish for them and when I get a bite deploy the marker bouy so that I can keep the same casting angle or at least boat position.

GPS first so you can come back later. Then I like to mark them with a painted buoy, I paint mine black. Some times I will loose track of it my self and takes me a minute to find it, but well worth it because they are boat magnets. I normally place mine upwind of the fish then drift back and start fishing. If they are spread out I will orient the buoy in a manner that helps me see what I am fishing. The tip of the point, the crown of the point, the edge of the channel, just some thing that helps me visualize what is down there.

Most of the time I just mark them on the graph although a marker buoy in the water helps with a visual so you can see where to cast if it is windy and the boat drifts off the area.

Drop the anchor, I don't understand why people won't do this anymore.

I throw out the buoy and if I catch something then I GPS. I like to throw the buoy away from where I see the fish. Preferably downwind so I am holding the boat into the wind. Didn't think of painting them black, but I think a boat sitting in 15-20 foot of water with someone on the bow fishing is pretty much enough of a giveaway without them seeing a buoy. I have been known to throw out a second decoy buoy away from where I marked the school nd watch people slide in on it to fish.
