Well the day started out at 38 degrees and 10 mph wind and warmed up a good bit but the wind just keep blowing. Picked up to 25-30mph gusting to 40mph at times during the day. The winds kept several guys home for this one and I cant blame them. It was tough for the 41 guys that showed up today. I saw several new faces today and was nice to meet you guys. I opened the scales at 11:00a for those you wanted to weigh-in and wait it out on the bank.

First team weighed in over 30 lbs with five blue cats. This being impressive since Ray Roberts is known as a channel cat lake and never being stocked with blues. Several more teams would come in to weigh-in early. Dispite the howling winds Joe and Robert would step up to the scales with a new lake record blue weighing in at 32.2 lbs. These guys took the fish from the deep water and decided to get it back in the water instead of waiting for the certification of the fish, great sportsmanship guys. I have several pictures and will get them up when i download them and resize.

First place went to a new team Coby and Eddie weighing in 39lbs for a $350.00 check.
Second place went to Doug and Don (NTACATS 2007 point Leaders) weighing in 36.8lbs. Thanks to Simon for towing them in after their boat broke down. Sounds like Somon needs a collectors fee.LOL.
Third Place went to Jerry and Paul again. Not to bad since they only fished the first few hours. Payout was $160.00
Fourth Place went to Joe and Robert weighing in the would be lake record fish, paying $80.00. They also recieved $200.00 FROM THE "ADVANTAGE MARINE BIG FISH JACKPOT" we were paying $100.00 this year and Joe Ham at www.advantagemarineus.com matched it for this tournament bringing the total to $200.00
5th,6th,7th place Steve,Mickey,Brad,David,Mike and Brent all went hope with 3 rod holders from our friends at www.beereadys.com.
8th place went to Simon and Roy winning 2 soft case tackle boxes
9th place was David and Scott winning no-roll sinkers from www.4footcat.com .
10th place also won the no roll sinkers. Ed and Joe
11th place Roy and Jason took home hats from www.proanglertackle.com

The rest gave it their all but ended up weighing in zero

Thanks for coming out guys, it was nice to meet all of you new guys this morning and we'll see you all at Tawokani next month

When will the date and details be posted for the next one??? Despite the weather, it was a fun tournament to fish.

Just moved to the area, bought some land out side of Little Elm that backs up to the lake (Lewisville). I love to Catfish, but was curious if any of yall have fished Lewisville and Ray Roberts and who can tell me whick lake is better for Cats and Crappie
