You really only need your rod/s, tackle, ice chest, sonar in a PA14. That's all I use. The yak drives itself while you fish. It is awesome. Added a couple of Scotty's and sonar mounts but other than that I have not "hurt" my yak yet. I bought mine used (2011 model earlier this year) and it was in excellent shape. They don't lose value very much. Great resale. The guy that sold me his said he just didn't have the time to take it out any longer.

1. The heavy duty cart. 2. The Visipole light installed on the stern and a portable headlight kept in the bow hatch. 3. A spare truck key in the stern hatch doesn't hurt either.

Anchor trolley if you fish deep. 360 light/flag mount for fish finder If you like to carry more than six rods, then rod holders/crate.

Mirage Drive 180 Forward-Reverse System But seriously, Hobie says that a retrofittable standalone version of the new forward/reverse system will be available mid-2017. Grab some pool noodles before they disappear from stores for the year. Enjoy your new kayak - great choice!

On the PA very little extra is needed, fish finder if you want one, cooler, tackle and rods. Please make sure you get a good PFD a must in any kayak.
Let me know if you have any rigging or general qustions be happy to help.
