I think we should make it legal in the State of Texas to shoot a boat or boater with yellow paint balls when they pass a fellow fisherman that is dead in dangerous waters like I was Saturday at Fork. I had at least 7 boats go right by me in the boat lane while I am trying to cross the lake with my trolling motor. After I was blown ashore and setting on the bank I had 3 more boats go by me within 50 yards. I think the yellow paint all over the boats and them would let everyone know how big a chicken _ _ _ _ they are.

I called a deputy to Turkey Cove one day a couple summers ago to report some jet skis running the no wake zone. We got to talking and said he had just come from another scene at comal park where a fisherman had shot a jet skier in the butt with a bb gun and the jet skier wanted the fisherman to be arrested. Cop told him he got what he deserved and that if he pressed charges, he would arrest him for being reckless and harrasing a fisherman. We both had a good laugh!!!
I tell you, if I could get away with it, I would have a full auto paintball gun mounted on a tripod on the bow and I would not hesitate to use the thing either!

Can we shoot Jet Skis Too? Oh! I would like to do that! If they come in range they are too close and breaking the law. Paint ball em, then turn em in to TPW... Dang, wouldn't that be great! If the fishing gets slow, will heck, go Jet Ski Hunting.
Ahh! Daydreaming,I feel better already....

Mister Carlin said it best. You should be able to shoot *&^$#% with a dart saying A__ hole. When they have 5 darts, law enforcement can arrest them without cause.
10 years ago, I was cleaning my fish while on the lake during a slow bite time. Two young girls in a Cobolt were coming directly towards me, full bore. I pitched the remains of a 4 LBS bass at them. It hit the windshield and splattered all over the girls. A while later they returned with their Dad. After listening to his beratement over the broken windshield and bass splattered girls, he said he was going to get the lakes patrol. I told him I would be here and waiting for his return. The patrol and outraged lawyer returned. The DNR officer pulled up and asked "Yo Baker what's going on?" After explaining my side, George asked me how far I could through a Bass. Then went to the lawyer and did a reg. check. No fire extinguisher, out dated boat tags, no floatation devise, underaged operator, speeding witnin 100 feet to a fixed boater...etc. By the time he got done, the lawyer had over $800 worth of fines. It's always good to support the DNR.

best thing to do is take motor cowling off so people will know you are having problems/usally a fisherman will stop and offer help /this has always worked for me

I agree with blind squirrel, if the other boaters had know you were having trouble they may have stopped to help, at least I know I would have.
Other than that ........... I agree with the yellow paint balls!!

I have a great paintball gun. Boy that would be fun to shoot jet skiers. I could shoot them a dozen times before they even knew where it was coming from.

Frozen grapes work well out of a sling shot, and they don't float. Hard for them to figure that one out....

Many, many years ago, my gramps kept about a 18" square white flag on an 2' broom stick,...just stapled on and rolled up under a seat. He said it saved him a few times, just stand up and wave it like hell...he also had an old casting rod with a sparkplug on the end of it...he could cast that thing a mile,..speeding boats only came by once...ha.

Yep, waving a white towel over your head, high in the air is an international distress singal, recognize by most boaters.

Ice cubes shot from a slingshot work good too. No evidence.
