Me and my teenage son were out on Toledo a couple weeks ago fishing. I noticed twice in a row he waved at other guy's in their boats and they just look back at you like you stupid. This is a kid out having a great time on the water. He says dang dad I guess people don't wave back around here or maybe they think they better than us or something. We laughed about it and he says I tell you what i am going to make it a point to wave at every single person we see for the rest of the day just to see how many wave back. I guarantee you guys probably only about one out of every 10 waved back to him. There's a good bit of people that just aren't friendly any more. Most that waved back were either guys that had their wives in boat with them or people on pontoon boats. Two grown men in a bass boat... forget about it. They got a tournament to fish. Things are way to serious out here to wave back to a kid. We got a couple hundred bucks at stake here and have to stay focused lol.

I thank him for his service. Prob just having a good time as well but really need to respect others and absolutely show respect. For those honors and skills his actions did not show that at all. Not even a respectable "hello."

he was a sniper, and owns half of UMG! he's a smart guy, and great at fishing, we just didn't see eye2eye an bumped heads before a major tourney, dudes leaving the dream, we can all atleast say we envy him for fishing just about everyday, an for him being 28, sure he should be courteous to others by waving maybe he wasnt looking idk.

So others not waving is really offending some of you?

I wave and if they do not wave back, it's really not a huge deal.

Maybe they are having the worst day of their life and they just found out their wife and dog were car jacked earlier. And they found the car and wife, but the dog is still missing...

This will hurt him ego more than anything probably..but who the he77 is lunkertv? I'm assuming a YouTube blogger or something?

I don't get on here much due to the odd drama that is on here but just so everyone knows I put the boat in the water and had no battery....So I had to fish the marina and no I didn't see anyone wave at me or I would have waived back. Here take a look..

There isn't a one of you that can say much other than Jake because he has actually had a conversation with me. Everyone else goes off of here say which leads to long pointless threads like this one. Hope you guys have a blessed week and stay safe this weekend.

Sorry that happened to you and your son but get discouraged, there are a few out there like that but just a few. I wave at everybody, never know when you might break down and need a tow or ride in.

Not so much afending as it is aggravating for a few seconds.I usually will start up a conversation if someone pulls up where I'm at and waves, just common curtisy

They say catching one fish is luck. Two and you might be on to something. Three and you have a pattern figured out. This is at least the third negative thread about you in the past year. I don't recall any other angler ever being called out for what he does on the water.

Not everyone has the recognition he has neither.
Has someone thought I've cut them off before... probably. Has someone waived ans I missed it, probably. Have I casted in someone's direction before? Absolutely.

Only difference is that everyone knows who he is. And there is a great deal of envy with him. I'm not taking a side because I wasn't there. But you can read in between the lines on some of these posts ( not necessarily the OP)

Weather the man was right, wrong or indifferent about what went down one thing is clear. People need to quit being so easily butt hurt over silly chit. G Paw used to tell me "don't sweat the petty stuff son, just pet the sweaty stuff". He77 I didn't even think it was legal to wave until you got outside the no wake buoy.

You could do the same thing.
