i have fished the last 3 weekends.... cold??? what cold??? and havent had one fish IN the boat!!! a couple bites, and one bass on(it shook off).... I would rather be fishing for reds and specks in this weather!!!! least the will hole up and still bite!!! LOL!!! Matter of fact- i would choose piggy perch fishing over the results I have had the last month of fishing!!

I am stoked, and find it hard to concentrate on my bass fishing- due to the anticipated Tuna trip!!! I have even pictured myself throwing the OTI poppers on Lake Fork in hopes of a HUGE bass!!!! it could happen(anyone remember the Arborgast AC plugs????)

ROd count as of now is 3, with my heavy AJ reel to go.... If we werent fishng with such a great group of guys, I would go ahaead and buy a Penn 114HLW, and offshore angler rod as a backup rig... but I am sure if I have a failure McGolfer will loan me one provinding I serve hamburgers for a month!!!! LOL!!! (although he might not like me serving my "Skeeter Ronnie Texas Burger - several patties stuck together to make one "texas size" hamburger pattie..LOL) Them yankees across the red might not know what hit em... LOL!!!!!

LOL!!! I would improve matters you old phart! I could put the ol fashioned Ronald McDOnald style 55 gallon drum of whoop arse on em..... that'd get em fixed right up!! Seriously- can I come fire a few of them... it would make me feel better!!! Only one I can fire here is myself!!!! But my productivity levels, and gorss sales have been on a constant upswing... so I would rather not fire my best employee!!! 20% increase on a 2 mil business if rather good!! I need a BONUS!!!!

BTW~ Your 20% includes my sleeping time! and an FYI- you push me too hard and one of us will be swimming home.....

Every May, me and about 50 other guys from SA have a Fishing Tournament in Port A. It is a fund raiser for a Children's Charity. I am involved in the silent auction and Calcutta. We raised about 35K last year. I have to go because I provide housing for 5 others who will tear the place apart if I'm not present. It's like Spring Break for middle aged guys. They will be setting the date for this event very soon. Since there are no women involved, we guys tend to put off the date to the last possible minute.

It is usually the second or third week in May. Therefore, if I have a conflict with the dates, I will put my spot on this Cinco trip up on ebay and give the money to the Charity. It's possible there will not be a conflict and I will fish both Cinco and the offshore division of the Charity Tournament. I should know the date in a week.

Not to jump in on yalls thread but, What is Cinco? I realize that you are taking a tuna trip but is there something special about the time or place that I am missing? I will be after tuna and other offshore fish most of the summer...Just wondering if you guys have got something figured out that I am missing.

Are you guys taking your own boats, getting a charter or a party boat?
If there is any extra pace I would love to get in on this and meet some other fishing people. I only have a limited amount of friends who like to fish on a regular basis and when they are not available I don't really have any one to go with...

Special K

We special charter a boat every year for a TFF Tuna trip with Texas Outdoor Organizers thanks to TFF Member Willie/TOO.

Cinco is our 5th TFF Trip that had to be rescheduled due to Bad Weather last November. The sign up list for TFF Tuna 6 in the Fallof 2007 will get going right after Cinco ..so be on the lookout for that trip as well.

Till then just watch the Cinco Posts to see if a spot becomes available on the Big E (Freeport Capt Elliots) as some folks may have to sell their spot before May 4th.

I think we have a misunderstanding on the driving!!! I will have a batch of Frozen Margarita's to test on the drive down to make sure I have the recipe just right for Cinco Crew!!! I am also back in for 2 Smoked Pork Shoulder's since my smoker is back up and running. Are we going to stay with the food and supply list we had if it is still out there somewhere?

i think the list will be back up when it gets closer to the date. I still have a printed list, and still have the supplies(cooking gear) I bought for last date.... Think we will be good to go....

those prok shoulders sound awfully tasty right now as I watch the clock to hit lunchtime... some pork, and beans, and tator salad on the way out might get us going right... fajitas satuday evening(few steaks for my sponsors)... should have scrambled eggs and sausage prepackaged to be heaten up when someone wants breakfast.... thats about all I remeber right now- but a full list will be posted as time draws near.
