Nope. No way. I fished out of a bass boat, aluminum and fiberglass for many years before I got the Lund.

After having had all of those boats in everything from flat as glass water to holy schnikees water, I wouldn't trade the Deep-V for anything.

It flat out, out handles, out performs and out fishes any other boat in my opinion.

The wide open layouts are excellent for moving around. The deep V provides a very stable fishing platform. It can get from here to there in the roughest of conditions. And I feel safer when I have young ones in the boat with the higher gunwales.

Deep V is the only way to go! It's the difference in being able to run to your favorite fishing hole on a windy day, are staying home, and wishing you were a fishin!

I've had one deep V and really liked it. If all I did was crappie fish, I would probably stick w/ the wide deep V...very very nice boats.

However, the question was, would I stick w/ a deep V? Nope.

After switching to a center console, i'm not going back.

Got a chance to ride in a Lund the other day for the first time. Rounded the corner to 25mph south winds. Boat handled the rough water pretty good. But nothing like my Skeeter Center Console.

Deep-Vee all the way. The only other boat for me is a kayak---because I can put it in my deep-vee boat!

i got a 80s v bottom boat took it out one time since i got it it was pretty nice it a lund or yall talking about new boats ? if so sorry to butt in thxs

The deep vee Triton that I currently own (Lunds look like it....or is it the other way around ), is my 21st boat, and for the style of fishing that I now do, it's the best. But I'm also in argeement with salsa; I owned a 25' CC and they're hard to beat.

No Sheldon, I'm not switching...and you're suppose to be on a cruise ship with your family, so what are you doing on the TFF???

My next boat will be a deep V or a bay boat, still on the fence on that one.

I have owned my tracker for 5 years now and it has served me moderately well, the hull design with the motor I have is a very good combination. However, the fit and finish are what drive the price down. I replaced the carpet within the first year and will have to do so again very soon. I have replaced all the electronics and the trolling motor, all the batteries, the battery charger and I am about to strip out the seats and either replace them or look at having them recovered. With all of the money I have sunk in to this boat I could have gotten something far better.

If you spend more than one day a month on the lake and you do not store the boat in a garage you may want to reconsider the Tracker.

I am looking at the Triton's myself, a lot of guides up north in walleye country are using them and I can probably find a 20' 1 year old boat for a decent price.

I like the high gunwalls to keep the waves out and offer protection from the cold winds up here in the fall.

If you compare Apples to Apples, Lund and Tracker are not that far away on price. We beat Tracker on price twice in the boat show!
We KNOW Lund is a the smart choice for quality, ride, resale value, warranty, and service after the sale.
Sure some of these other companies are trying to copy Lund. Alumacraft is the leader in that. The only problem is none of these other companies can build the IPS hull. Lunds ride higher, drier and perform better with less horsepower because of the hull design.

After falling out of bass boat on Amistad last year (windy day, 50 degree water), I traded for a deep-V Starcraft. Made myself a promise, I won't be fishing in the same conditions on a bass boat again. Am really satisfied w/ Starcraft, and it doesn't have very much more draft than old boat (if that's an issue).

I have both a Tracker and a Alumacraft. Same size boats. I wouldn't trade the Alumacraft for two Trackers.

You need the extra length in the CC boats to equal the dry and smooth ride of the Lund deep V and there aren't all the comfortable seats in the CC. That was one of the reasons I went for the Lund Crappie Special. I am 67 and prefer to sit when I ride and fish. I am very happy with and proud of my Lund boat.

I have to agree with the deep V. I fish a Ranger 681 Fisherman and it can handle just about any weather conditions on a lake. I like the fiberglass because it seems to be easier to hold it in high wind. The bay boats I have seen just can't hold in the wind that we fish. I might have looked at one of the Lunds or Alumacrafts if I wasn't sponsored by Ranger.

I have owned and fished in them all from the small flat bottoms to the big bass boats. I bought a CC in 05 and it has the best room and ride. My knees enjoy being able to move around. I have NO plans to change.
