Question gentleman, what do yall use for hybrids and stripers on a slab? 20lb mono? Or can you get away with using braid so you can fit more line on these tiny spools?

Mono all the way, I don't see any reason to use anything heavier than 12lb. Most of the fish won't be any bigger than 5-6lbs. I've landed 8-10lb hybrids and striper on 4 lb test.

I use 15 or 20lb on my live bait rigs and 10lb or 12 lb on my slab/swim bait rigs. We also use our live bait rigs at the coast and 12lb is just to small for those big bull reds. As far as brand goes don't ever ever ever buy Suffix line. It is absolute junk. I guess it must be biodegradable because it starts deteriorating within a few weeks of putting it on. I'm back to using berkley big game mono on all my reels. Braid is ok I have just never seen a big need for it the way we fish.

I've been using nothing but braid for the last 15 years and would never even consider going back to mono. It has zero strech, crazy sensitive, no memory, last for years and if I hang up I can normally bend the hook to get free instead of breaking off. I use Stren and Fins brand, all 40lb test.
The only negative about it to me is if you get tangled with someone, it's best to just cut your lure off and retie.
For my live bait rigs, I do use fluorocarbon leaders but not any other time.

Both depending, 30lb Super Slick, 12lb Big Game. Live bait rigs is the same rigs I catch catfish on (Pro Angler M) so I just run the 25# Offshore Angler mono.

I use 20lb Berkley Big Game on my live bait rods with 20-30lb flouro leader. I use 20-30lb Tuf-line XP Braid on my artificial rods with 20lb Berkley Vanish flouro leader tied on with a double uni knot. The Tuffline is much smoother than standard powerpro and I get allot of life out of it. It really makes a difference when you are deadsticking in the winter time - extra sensitive! I use 6 wraps with the braid and 3 wraps with the mono when tying the double uni knot. http://tuf-line.com/product/tuf-line-xp/

20LB big game on everything! Braid is a no no for me, no give = a lot of fish pulling the hook.

I am also a lighter line man (12 lb test), but I can't seem to find the fish this year on CC.

I was using 12lb flouro on my lighter slabs and tail spinners, and 20lb flouro on my heavy slabs and big spoons but I've slowly been switching everything over to the 12lb. Seaguar red label

Nothing but Berkley Trilene XL Smooth Casting 14 lb. low vis green for me on all my reels. I fish for white bass, hybrids and large-mouth bass.

I've been slabbing with 8 lb mono on a 7' ML rod lately. Usually I use 20 lb braid for most everything.

No debate really. 10 or 12 lb Big Game is cheap and works just fine. Don't overthink it.
