I have a neighborhood lake that's pretty shallow through out. It's probably 3/4 mile long and 500 to 600 feet across.
I lot of it is very shallow, 1 to 3 feet. At the far end it gets to about 8 feet, mostly 6 feet and has a creek channel all the way down it's length that's narrow but 6 to 7 feet deep.
I've also found a few holes, 6 to 7 feet deep, about 24 feet around.
Couple of stumps and logs too.
I know there's crappie cause my wife caught one about 2 lbs... I'm not a practiced crappie fisherman, wondering what your recommended fishing pattern might be here. I'm in a 10 foot pond boat, and it's fairly stealthy.

I would personally but some brush in the holes. The fish should be close to those holes and some brush would make it concentrate them enough to really catch them (assuming there are good numbers of fish in there). Or if sinking brush is too much trouble them I would concentrate on the holes and deepest parts of the lake.

Fishing straight down could be problematic as that little pond boat blows where ever it feels like and running the trolling motor right on top of the sounds like a bad idea to me.

How clear is the water? If it is muddy, I wouldn't worry about spooking the fish. You could try a slip cork and a jig over the holes. I would fish about 1 ft off the bottom.

yeah it's pretty muddy.
I went out today, and while bass fishing I left a maribou jig sitting about 2 feet off the bottom. I saw lots of activity on my finder, lots of chasing going on... I caught 7 bass, one being quite nice at 4.5, occasionally my ultralight rod tucked under my butt while seated would take off like a fish was on then it was gone - probably bream or something giving it a tug... tons of those in the lake.
I also tried a road runner with a silver shad colored smallish jerk bait looking bait, no joy there.
