Looking in to buying a new boat. What is cost on extending the Mercury warranty to 2 extra years of Platinum coverage or 3yrs?

It all depends if the dealer has any gold certificates,which they get when buying motors and packaged boats from Mercury between a time period. You have to get the gold before you get Platinum. All dealers charge different prices for the warranty,but pay they all pay the same.You do not have to buy the warranty from the dealer you buy the boat from, but normally they will give you a heck of a deal because they just sold you a boat
Hope this doesn't confuse ya, and I know I didn't give you a cost for it,but it is hard to do that
