I was blessed with a beautiful permit while fishing in Belize. It was 31.5" long and about 11" from top to bottom of its belly; I will get a better measurement once I get home, I'm using my fishoflage shirt as a reference.

The best work I've ever seen done is from a shop called Lawrence Taxidermy Studio, unfortunately he's from up North. But he will ship your fish in a custom foam mold package, so it's totally safe.
